At NICE International School, we welcome applications from girls and boys aged 2 years and above of all nationalities and backgrounds.
We offer students an introduction to the holistic knowledge needed for them to be contributing and productive citizens. We aim to promote the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of students at the school and in the society. We also aim to prepare students for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of future life and introduce them to the best that has been thought and said.
Our curriculum provides an outline of core knowledge around which teachers can develop exciting and stimulating lessons to promote the development of students’ knowledge, understanding and skills as part of the expanded school curriculum.
The expanded curriculum provides opportunities for the Primary grades to work on projects covering areas within the curriculum as common areas of interest. No term examinations are conducted for students from year 1 to year 5 during the 1st and 2nd Terms of the academic year. Instead, they are given the opportunity to do series of projects to acquire the knowledge through interactive and thought provoking project work. The highlight of our teaching and learning process is the project-based approach.
We welcome applications from Special needs children. After the application form has been received, we will arrange for an interview with the Principal and class teacher to assess the suitability of the child and to ascertain whether the individual special needs required by the child fall within what the school can provide for. The school will not consider admission if it is unable to cater to the child’s special needs fully.
NICE International school caters to the following groups of children. The cut-off date to establish a grade for a new enrolment is 30th September.
Terms for the academic year.
First Term: Starts September (or late August) – Ends mid-December
Second Term: Starts 1st week of January – Ends mid-April
Third Term: Starts end-April – Ends mid-July
Mid Term Admission.
Mid Term admission is available for all the classes. If a child joins N.I.C.E. in the middle of a term, admission will be completed using a pro-rated term fee and the Admission fee and the relevant school development fee will apply in full.
Students are accepted throughout the year but will be placed in a grade or class according to the determination made by the Principal based on student’s previous educational experience, age and entrance / placement test results. We follow a three step application process.
We require a duly completed application form (Click here to download) for each prospective student. Along with application form, below documents need to be submitted to the School Administration office.
i. Copy of Parents N.I.C. / passport copies and visa Page(s)
ii. Copy of Student N.I.C. / passport copy and visa page(s)
iii. Four (4) passport size colour photographs of the student
iv. Copy of birth certificate (valid translation if it is in any other language than (English)
v. Copy of previous school’s last term report(English)
vi. Copy of examination results of the final exam completed.
vii. Copy of leaving certificate from previous school.
All students from Year 1 and upwards are required to sit for an entrance / placement test to determine the student’s standard of knowledge in English Language and Mathematics.
Students applying for entrance into Preschool to Kindergarten 2 have an interview /practical session with the Class Teachers instead.
Successful applications will be notified within three working days of the Entrance/Placement test to the prospective parents/guardians. Once admission is confirmed, parents/ guardians shall pay following fees accordingly.
